Guiding the Reds to surprising success (despite the well-documented shortcomings of owner Marge Schott), former Cincinnati Reds skipper Davey Johnson wore this manager’s jacket during his tenure (1993-1995) in the “Queen City.” The red knit zippered garment features “CINCINNATI” arched across the chest in white embroidery-on-twill, “JOHNSON” embroidered across the upper back and a “C Reds” logo sewn to the left sleeve. Red-and-white striped stretch ribbed knit lines the waistline, collar and sleeve endings and a metallic MLB silhouette logo pendant facilitates pulling of the zipper. Within the collar, a “Starter” label denotes size “XL.” Light wear is evident with minimal fraying about the embroidered identifiers.
